Jessica Rose "Jessie" James (born April 12, 1988) is an American pop/country singer and songwriter. She is currently signed with Island Records, Mercury Records. Her self-titled debut album will be released in the summer of 2009.

Biography

Jessica Rose James, was born on a U.S. military base in Vicenza, Italy. Jessica and her family then moved and resided in Warner Robins, Georgia. While in high school, Jessie would take road trips during the weekends from Atlanta to Nashville, Tennessee to practice songwriting. When she was 17, she tried to score a record deal, but all the labels said "no" and that she was "too intimidating," because of her strong presence. A song demo eventually made it's way to Mercury Records, President David Massey, who arranged a live audition at IDJ headquarters in New York with Chairman Antonio "L.A." Reid. "When Mr. Reid started to dance, I knew I'd finally found my home," said Jessie.

Music Career

Her song "Blue Jeans" was featured on the Confessions of a Shopaholic soundtrack.

On March 28, 2009, A music video for her single "Wanted" was shot. The video leaked on her myspace on April 23th.
